Indeed an official server. Be sure to play on Ranked servers. Those have this icon:
For your information: BF4DB, PBBans, GGC-stream and ACI are 3rd party anti-cheats. That someone is banned by a 3rd party does not mean they will be kicked from all servers.

Ranked has two meanings:
1. It can mean that the server sends data to the stats engine and thus your points are counted towards your progression making it "ranked".
2. That it can be managed by server owners and supports 3rd party plugins.
We talk about the 2nd, which is represented by that icon below. EA is a bit ambiguous with their terminology.

But how was he able to play on a BF4DB portected server without getting auto banned? I doubt an admin would disable that feature...

Because that server is official. Official servers can install our plugin, but it won't be able to kick players. You could try to contact the server owner to ask him to switch it to ranked.

I did read the post. I see the servers he plays on are the official preset which do not allow admin controls or plugins to influence the game in any way other than map rotation, game mode, and ticket count in a restricted amount. A violation logged into pbbans, GGC, or bf4db is simply a violation from punkbuster and would only result in them being kicked by punkbuster in that particular instance. What the third party services do is to take the Punkbuster one-time violation and kick and enforces them as bans. However that cant be done on an official server because DICE or EA sees fit to limit those servers.They are all official servers. Our plugin is ineffective on official servers

Now im totally confused, he is playing on ranked servers but you guys talk about official servers which wont enforce pb kicks as bans?

The "ranked" (http://prntscr.com/j4hd4t) you mean, is not the same as the Ranked https://i.imgur.com/lEKVAH9.png we are talking about.. As I said, EA is ambiguous with their terminology of Ranked.
