Although they glitch the scoreboard, they do not directly impact the game. They edit the memory of private servers to fake those stats.

It is up to EA to take action against this. We do not ban for it. It is pretty much statpadding taken to a next level..

Ofcourse when EA takes action and bans the accounts or resets them, we will copy this and also hit the hammer.

"Mainly because they are your friends????"

Doubt it.  There is precedent for not banning such players.  Early in the life of the new BF4DB I reported someone for ping hacking.  This is done by downloading a cheat from a public cheat site, or paying for a cheat, and telling it to lie about your ping times.  It was blatant.  But the player had no suspicious in-game stats, so the BF4DB staff refused to ban him.  My contention is, if the guy has a ping hack that requires wading through a cheat site and downloading it and injecting it, then he's almost surely doing something worse.  As well, if Punkbuster were a worthy anti-cheat, it would detect the injected ping hack and ban the player, and then BF4DB would mirror it.  But BF4DB's contention is, "prove they're cheating".

As well, there's the problem that 100% innocent people can be swept up in this.  Imagine someone tweaks a server to multiply scores and kills and deaths and everything else by 100-fold.  Now the random players who join have their stats totally mangled.  Ban 'em all simply because they were unfortunate enough to join a hacked server?

it is a bit messy.  I still think they should ban the ping hacker.  :)  But I'm not really on board with banning the stat hacked players.  Yes--EA/DICE needs to deal with this.
