BF4DB Ban Appeal 3 years ago

Soldier Name: Chaotic_Badger
Link To BF4DB Soldier Profile: https://bf4db.com/player/367402892
Have You Claimed Your Soldier: Yes (plus two banned for linked acct)
Appeal:

Hi, I'm appealing to have my ban lifted, since I'm not a cheater and I don't think the ban was warranted. Our (very much former) clanmate decided to start some beef with another player, and it resulted in many from our clan being harassed and more or less e-stalked for possible opportunities to grief us (e.g. Discord porno spam).

Please consider the following from the initial report against me here (https://bf4db.com/player/ban/367402892):

1. "Video shows Badger abusing elevator glitch in bf4"

The linked video (https://youtu.be/4ygCWlL0a3c) simply does not, IMHO, "demonstrate abuse" since in it I do not score any kills, nor do I spot any players from the enemy team while bugged outside the map. It does however show me using the blow torch on a friendly player's head (while being distracted with a Discord voice chat). The linked video also doesn't include context to show this, but I was placed outside of the map after exiting a buggy that was crammed inside one of the elevators. I've ridden buggies up the elevator on this map an embarrassing number of times before, but that was the first time I've experienced a map glitch while doing it.

During the entire course of the linked video I score but a single kill, evidenced only in the kill feed, since the reporter stopped spectating at that point. This kill (I assert) took place after I re-spawned; the video does not support otherwise. Ironically, that single kill is on my friend BladeXP (https://bf4db.com/profile/bladexp), who is trying to be helpful (I think?) by starting some vaguely related "what if" threads here. I think he is prepared to confirm that I killed him on the correct side of the map.

For more context, here is a video I recorded during that same round. Granted it's not quite material to my appeal, but it may explain the horseplay happening with buggies during the round: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bz77clwNkyA (warning: some profanity in the audio).

2. "Reasons: Invisibility, Map"

In the linked video I am clearly visible, so I don't understand why that was part of the report, or why it would be acted upon by staff. If someone is behind your wall IRL, they're not invisible, they're just hidden (and creepy). The "Map" part makes sense.

3. The BF4DB ban policy was updated to version 1.2 prior to the report against me, with wording specifically about video evidence submitted to support a ban. It currently reads: "Footage must also have a minimum resolution of 720p at 60fps". The video linked from the report that led to my ban does not meet those requirements; it's 30 fps not 60. Why that should make a difference in this case I have no idea, but if my appeal is to be considered based on your policy, it seemed like a good thing to point out here.

Sorry for the long-winded appeal, but I miss playing with my GFY buddies and wanted to make it count. Thanks.

P.S. You may have a typo in said policy, with "Hardcode mode".
