So if one reports Bobs main account, even though that account is clean. He will be banned cause he used a banned account one time since his linked accounts will be looked at?

Well thats why bans should be on ip's, the ip where the account was firstly made since that is the real owner. The ip where the cheats where done. And not to players/accounts linked to that banned account since that is another ip/country. Yes there is vpn, but there is many tools to detect if one is using vpn and block those connections

It's not about the owner thinking that player used cheats, which he wasn't also and even the admin admitted. It's about that player getting banned by that admin. What made the player use another account which he didn't owned but used a couple of times so he could still play there. Since the banned account he used instead, which was banned on an russian ip, will be linked anyway cause he can be linked since at least 1 time those accounts had the same ip (italian) on a much later date. Its about those players that can't succesfully claim those banned soldiers, since they don't own them and thus can't appeal. Yes the link is valid cause same ip one time, but ban for linked accounts isn't. Maybe you should let such players appeal with there main account since the originally banned account can't/won't be unbanned cause that ban was legit.

I got a question about linked accounts. I know some people that play battlefield 4 since day 1 have played with multiple accounts. For instance someone I know used other accounts when an admin on the server he played banned him since he didn't liked him. This player then used some other accounts which 1 of was a banned one (banned on a total different ip/country). Does this make him a cheater then? Even the stats on the banned account aren't hacker stats when that player used it. I know the banning policy of bf4db regarding linked accounts :

Linked Accounts:

• Accounts having overlapping IP and timestamp information will be considered a linked account. Player information streamed to the Service can be used for this purpose.

• If an account is currently banned by BF4DB, all other accounts that are positively identified as a linked account will receive a ban for “Linked Account” as well. Similarly, if the main ban successfully appeals, all other alt bans will be lifted.

• Accounts having the same Gravatar will be considered linked, and treated appropriately.

But is it fair in those situations to link a player then? The main account of this player is totally clean, same as the stats when this player used these other accounts, but he can never appeal succesfully since he will be linked to this account anyway or am I wrong?
