I have already tried a ban appeal, and it didn't work. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to get it appealed; I know that it won't work. I just want to explain a flaw in the BF4DB banning system: ban due to "Linked Accounts."

I owned BF4 in my first Origin account. I have played for about two years when I suddenly got a ban. I live in Saudi Arabia, and this ban was issued in Turkey. I therefore concluded that my first account was hacked, so I gave up that account since I only had one game on it anyway. After creating my second account and buying BF4 again, I played for a few months. I was banned on my second account yesterday. Now, I understand why this is being done: to stop hackers from creating new accounts to keep on hacking and ruining the game for honest players. However, the problem with this is that sometimes, innocent players who were unfortunate enough to get their accounts hacked can get banned, even after a clean restart on an account with a much stronger password. I belong to this group, and I'm frustrated that this is the case.

To clarify, I'm not asking for a ban appeal. I just felt the need to share my feelings about this system. What I suggest is that this second account should not be banned unless there also is proof of hacking on it. I myself never hacked, and never will; I'm skilled enough to enjoy high scores and kills without hacking. I just wish that there was a way that innocent players could be identified before issuing a ban on the second account as well. At least the stats on the second account could be checked to verify that this person is truly a hacker. In my case, this would have helped as my stats show that I'm just the slightly above average player.

Thank you for your attention, and I hope to see this fixed in the future on behalf of the minority of innocent players who have been unjustly banned.

Since this is not actually an appeal, let me quote some old guy somewhere - “Logic clearly dictates that the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.”

With all due respect, I do not see the logic here. Why not just ban a hacker a second time when they are proven to be hacking instead of accepting innocent casualties?

The logic here shows that I have not been hacking; the ban was issued in another country yet here I am, banned for a second time for no reason. I also understand that this is the easy way out and makes the majority of players happy, but I feel that it would be better to make more people happy, including the minority. What I understand from your quote is that the minority of the player base is expendable in favor of the majority. What I'm saying is that both sides can be happy with a few tweaks. Following my suggestion would get only the real hackers banned, although they might be able to play an extra round or two.

As much as I like the BF4 community, the lack of support and the amount of dislike I'm experiencing is fairly disappointing. I apologize if I sound like a crybaby, but I desperately feel the need to share my feelings about this [what I think is] unfair system.

Read our ban policy. It clearly states we ban linked accounts, and your link is a solid one. Please do not create more threads about this matter. They will be removed.

Furthermore, getting your account hacked is something YOU could have prevented. There are plenty of ways to do this. Not being able to use these functions like 2FA is essentially helping cheats to continue ruining the game for others. Just as bad as cheaters themselves.
